“Hyper land” is the first solo Exhibition of German artist Jutta Bobbe after she moved to Shanghai.
In the past ten years, Jutta was living and working as an artist in Beijing and Berlin, so the shift of the culture and the living space around her gave big influence on her art exploration. Her personal life and art is like base on her suitcase. The super fast development includes the transportation nowadays will give more and more people this kind of shifting life experience.
Fast, Noisy, Multifarious could be the key words of the Chinese city in Jutta’s eye, and that follows her main expression in art, you could see this from the architect structure and the space and how the colors change of her works; Dual cultural space also bring her to the philosophy “Of other space” from a French philosopher Fuke; Rationalism and soberness are deeply rooted in Jutta’s artwork, and continue increasing, spliting and reproducing. In the recent decade, oriental sentiment is growing gently in her paintings. The experience of living in Europe and Asia makes it possible for Jutta to express her thoughts by painting on the basis of sentimental awareness and gradually find herself in art world.
In this exhibition “Hyper land”, in total 21 works together showing to the audience about the crossed subjective perception of the 10 years shifting life of the artist, and her special inner perception about the higher universe and nature. City, East and West, Nature, weather, Raumordnung, inner environment and so on, those are closely following artist’s work development.
This year she moved from Beijing to Shanghai, here she experiencing the wet air, the openness because of the connection of the building’s outside and inside, etc. Those are the life elements she missed and needs much in the past 10 years in Beijing, so her life in Songjiang of Shanghai will help her enter the next layer of her art exploration.
